After relocating its Garden City office, a law firm, which has two other locations in Suffolk County, has expanded.

Robert D’Angelillo has joined Futterman, Lanza & Pasculli, or FLP, as an associate, where Mark Blaustein is now of counsel.

The two join Futterman, Lanza & Pasculli, an elder law and estate planning firm, just months after the firm relocated its Garden City office from a 2,000-square-foot space to a 4,500-square-foot space at 1325 Franklin Avenue. The firm also has offices in Smithtown and Bay Shore, with a total of 14 attorneys.

“As an attorney practicing in this area of law over 25 years, my focus has always been, ‘How can I best help my clients and their families?’” D’Angelillo said in a news release about his new role at the firm. “By joining Futterman, Lanza & Pasculli, I am part of an experienced team that shares that same focus.”

Working out of the Garden City office, D’Angelillo will represent clients in all matters relating to estate planning, estate administration, long-term care planning, and Medicaid planning. In addition to trusts, estate law and elder law, D’Angelillo will also assist clients and families who have children or adults with special needs to establish guardianships while maintaining their benefits. D’Angelillo has served as a partner elsewhere on Long Island, including 10 years at Lewis Johs Avallone Aviles, according to his LinkedIn page.

Blaustein, who will mostly work from the Garden City office, has a diversified practice where he counsels clients in developing strategies that preserve wealth and concentrates on estate, gift, and income tax planning, federal and state tax controversies, family business succession strategy, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. Prior to joining FLP, Blaustein served as the founder and managing partner of his own law firm, Mark R. Blaustein, PC, in Garden City.

Blaustein had previously served as a partner in Blaustein & Weinick, a law firm in Garden City. His legal career began with Katz and Bernstein, a law firm where he rose from law clerk to partner at the firm. Blaustein also gained valuable experience at Peat Marwick Mitchell, a Big 8 accounting firm at the time.

Now in its 20th year, FLP has held a Garden City presence since 2019, after acquiring Giordano Law.
